

Dr Filip Jaszczak DVM CertAVP MRCVS
Clinical Director
Filip comes from a lovely seaside resort called Sopot in Poland, but has been living locally since 2006 and has been working at Marske since August 2007. He graduated from Olsztyn University in 2004 achieving the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine title. Whilst working full time at the practice, after hundreds of hours studying, in July 2015 Filip was awarded the RCVS Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice and keeps on studying to further expand his knowledge. He has an interest in all aspects of veterinary medicine and is looking to expand his knowledge in the area of veterinary ophthalmology. Filip has two children and two oriental rescued cats. In his spare time Filip enjoys cycling and thinks the local area is a heaven for outdoor sports. He also enjoys reading, mostly about science and world history. He also likes good music, but hates dancing.


Dr Elena Muzzoni PhD MRCVS
Elena has graduated from University of Parma in 2003. After graduating she worked at various veterinary practices in Italy and in 2012 she completed a PhD at Parma University studying lymphatic tumours in dogs. Elena has got an additional qualification in cytology meaning that she is particularly skilled at working with the microscope and in a matter of minutes she can tell us what type of tumour a patient has or if the blood cells are fine. Elena has been with us since July 2016, and enjoys all types of veterinary work and in particular dermatology and oncology. In her spare time enjoys walking and reading horror stories.


Dr Shamanthi Shankar BSc MA VetMB MRCVS
Shamanthi graduated from Cambridge University after her first degree at the Royal Veterinary College, London. Originally from Newcastle and a northern girl at heart, she moved straight back to the area to work in small animal practice, and then joined Marske Vets in June 2018. Shamanthi enjoys all aspects of veterinary work, but is developing a keen interest in surgery and cytology. In her spare time she can be found working or competing her two Labradors, Troy and Mango, her Field Trial Champion. Shamanthi is also a Kennel Club judge for retrievers.
