Our services

At Marske Veterinary Practice we have a range of facilities and equipment which is maintained to a high standard to ensure that we can always provide the best possible care for our clients and their pets.

The veterinary surgeons and veterinary nurses continue to develop their professional knowledge by attending regular training courses, keeping them up to date with current developments in the veterinary field.

The practice has a fully equipped preparation room, two operating theatres, modern anaesthetic and monitoring equipment and our in-house laboratory allows us to run blood and urine samples for rapid results.

We have up-to-date diagnostic equipment such as:

  • Digital X-ray: Allowing us to achieve fantastic quality radiographs in no time.
  • Digital dental X-ray: Is a state of the art piece of equipment, which is still very rare in veterinary practices, but has been standard in human dental care for years. It allows us to reliably diagnose painful teeth in our patients.
  • Ultrasound scanner: Allows us to obtain rapid diagnosis of effusions, pregnancies, vital organs and assessment of traumatised patients.
  • Endoscopy: Allows us to see and test patients through the gastro-intestinal tract.
  • Electro-cardiograph: Animals with suspected heart arrhythmias can have their heart assessed and appropriately treated quickly and efficiently.
  • Fully equipped laboratory: For haematological and biochemical testing of blood samples. A modern lab is a must have for all practices, it is an essential tool in every day practice. Our lab is regularly audited and subject to strict quality control.

Home visits

We offer home visits for our clients that cannot bring their peats to our practice themselves. We have a practice ambulance that we use for visits and we also provide a collection and delivery service for pets. We also offer delivery of diets and medication.

Should you require a home visit, please contact our reception for details of costs and availability.

At our practice we have separate wards for cats and dogs so any stress for our inpatients is kept to an absolute minimum. Whilst hospitalised the in patients are under constant supervision by a member of our dedicated nursing team.

At our practice we have a designated, secure isolation ward where we can safely treat critically ill patients:

  • Cat ward.
  • Dog ward.
